Centennial trees of Habib Bourguiba Avenue
An
original interpretation by artist Taffarod of the ficus trees on Habib
Bourguiba Avenue is to your left as you enter. On the ground, you'll discover a
superbly precise work by Tunisian artisan Mehdi Benedetto: a mosaic medallion
representing the hotel's emblem, inspired by the Avenue's ficus trees. Legend
has it that two Bulgarian artists residing at the Carlton in the 1950s paid for
their stay by creating this emblem!
